Dr. Daniel Daly

Dr. Dan Daly is a specialist Upper Gastrointestinal and Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic (HPB) Surgeon dedicated to delivering high quality clinical care with a focus on improving patient-centred outcomes.

Dr. Daly completed Bachelor of Science (BSc.) and Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) degrees at the University of Sydney before undertaking surgical training and attaining higher degrees in Masters of Surgery (MS) and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). He subsequently completed the AANZHPBA Post Fellowship Training Program with a focus on complex Upper Gastrointestinal, Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery.

Dr. Daly has a specific interest in the management of cancers and other tumours of the pancreas, liver and biliary system and has completed a number of research projects in this field. He was involved in the establishment of the Prince of Wales Pancreatic Cancer Data Registry- an important database tool used for clinical audit and quality improvement purposes. Dr. Daly also has experience as site coordinator for a national multicentre randomised control trial (PEGDP-01 study) assessing the use of an absorbable tissue sealant in pancreatic surgery.

Dr. Daly holds appointments as a consultant surgeon at Prince of Wales Public and Private Hospitals in Randwick, Sydney NSW. Additionally he is a Clinical Lecturer at the University of NSW and an active member of many professional organisations including IHPBA, AANZHPBA, AANZGOSA, RACS, GSA, GESA and AMA.
